Workshops by Emma Britton Decorative Glass Designer. Not traditional botanical illustration but a contemporary way of looking at and capturing the beauty of flowers and plants.
Emma will get you looking for the beauty in nature and help you discover how to convey what you see. You can expect to produce some dynamic, exciting designs. Furthermore, your illustrations will be evocative of their potential to use as a pattern for wallpaper, textiles and more.
Emma’s workshops often provide participants with access to secret gardens or those normally closed to the public. They are therefore a rather unique opportunity. As well as being a great chance to experience the joys of painting and drawing outside.
Workshop participants will:
- Be guided in the principles of scale, composition and colour
- Create unique designs from nature, inspired by the setting
- Enjoy warm-up exercises introducing different painting techniques
- Work with a live gouache paint palette
- Benefit from a professional critique of their work
- Go home with at least three finished illustrations
- Workshops take place outside
