Sunset Bespoke Kitchen Splashback
If there’s one splashback design within Emma’s collections that really encapsulates summer, then it has to be Sunset. A bold, statement floral splashback capturing the beauty of orange Fritillaria Imperialis ‘Sunset’ in the sunshine. The hot orange flower design pairs wonderfully with wooden worktops for warmth and vibrancy.
Emma also had the pleasure of working on a beautiful personalised glass splashback version of this design. Her client, Smita, wanted to incorporate more elements of the tropics alongside the orange fritillaria. Starlings, moths and stag beetles, all chosen by Smita, feature amongst the blooms for a wonderfully unique and personal kitchen splashback.
Mediterranean Inspired Floral Splashback
Emma’s latest addition to her HomeGrown collection, which is inspired by the joy of reaping what you sow, is Potager Garden. Centred around a fan-trained apricot tree, the design combines edible and ornamental produce including sunflowers, foxgloves, artichokes and cabbages. This special floral splashback design celebrates the abundant bounty of traditional French kitchen gardens with a summery, sunshine feel.
Peachy tones in the design marry perfectly with a soft blue background for a colour scheme reminiscent of balmy summer evenings. Make this unique kitchen centrepiece sing by using behind a coloured range cooker or alongside copper hardware. Certainly a good splashback choice for those who dream of warmer days.
Unique Kitchen Splashback – Tropical
The beauty of choosing an Emma Britton splashback is the opportunity to collaborate with Emma to create a design that’s that’s totally bespoke to you. Commissioning a bespoke splashback design is exactly what these clients did, who when relocating to the UK wanted to bring a slice of their old home with them.
We’d lived in Singapore for 25 years and had just come back, we were doing the house up and I wanted to bring in a bit of the tropics we were so used to into it… We really wanted to personalise the kitchen, and bring a little bit of where we’d been living into our English home. | Client
Hand-painting the tropical design from the client’s photographs, Emma perfectly captured the lush foliage of Singapore’s botanical gardens – a special place to the client who walked here everyday. Bright heliconias and palm fronds give an exotic feel to this bespoke splashback. Combined with a blue and green colour palette, this stunning design is so evocative.
