Exotic Florals
Above all else, fabulous florals are Emma’s constant source of inspiration. Her signature design style was partly inspired by the garden of her suburban childhood home, full of Fuchsias grown by her grandfather. Emma saw their shapes and textural qualities as something special, inspiring a love of architectural flowers – such as those found in the Exotic Floral Collection.
Exotic Floral especially celebrates geometry and structure, with Emma’s original design including Dahlias, Red Hot Pokers, Canna Lilies and Digitalis Firebird. All chosen for their distinct shapes and flamboyant, exotic feel; something which Emma was keen to convey.
Starting life as an original painting, the tropical aesthetic is felt through Emma’s bright painterly colours and clever composition, which makes the flowers appear to be wildly growing together. Emma then translated the design into a pattern for glassware. The square-shaped Exotic Floral wine glasses, for example, showcase the contrasting heights of the digitalis and dahlias beautifully.
Did you know?
Digitalis (foxgloves) are one of Emma’s favourite flowers. Her vibrant Foxglove splashback was her founding design, subsequently featuring on accompanying floral homeware. Foxglove has since remained a popular splashback for country kitchens and modern homes year on year. Digitalis’s height and unique form is what draws Emma to this flower time and time again. Most recently in her Potager Garden splashback design, which includes beautifully tonal apricot digitalis.

When photographing the collection, we wanted to capture the feeling of balmy midsummer evenings. Our special location within a tropical glasshouse proved perfect for this. The lush greenery provided a perfect backdrop for inspiring patio brunches and sunset dinners. A tablescape adorned with garden blooms is completed with pretty Exotic Floral glass tumblers for summer pressés. Add in the contemporary floral wine glasses and your alfresco set-up is ready.
