Fresh from the Garden: Floral Splashbacks
Fresh from the garden splashbacks – signature Emma Britton floral splashback designs are inspired by the same favourite flowers you might have outside your kitchen window, aspire to grow or simply love. I’m the original floral splashback designer, and came up with the idea of creating flower patterns for glass splashbacks nearly 14 years ago. At the time, this look was completely new and unseen.
I always create designs specially for splashbacks, for both traditional and contemporary interiors. Available nationwide, and we offer an installation service if required too.

The rich colour palette and patterns found in flowers is infinite and never ceases to amaze me. My Up the Garden Path collection is where you’ll find the broadest selection of signature Emma Britton floral splashback designs focused around garden flowers. This collection features designs with Foxgloves to Sweet Peas and the ever popular, Country Garden. Those who’ve chosen Country Garden for the Agapanthus, Alliums, Eryngiums, Iris and Lupins absolutely love it. The predominantly blue colour palette makes the design very versatile. Architectural Flower Forms
My design style draws me to architectural flowers in particular. You’ll really find this reflected in my Up the Garden Path splashbacks. Architectural flowers offer so much more than just being decorative, their symmetry, proportions and organic complexity naturally bring form and structure to my designs for both elegance and confidence. My training in printed textiles gives my patterns for glass a special kind of fluidity and flow. Clients particularly love how this gives my splashbacks almost textile softness despite being glass!
The seeds of my design style can in part be found in the garden of my suburban childhood home, full of Fuchsias grown by my grandfather. I just found their shapes and textural qualities quite special. This inspired my love of architectural flowers and slightly nostalgic aesthetic.
I adore British Suburbia, the gardens and homes are inspiring whilst having homely appeal. I love this combination. I’m also fascinated at how people decorate their homes; if I wasn’t, I think I might be in the wrong job! Understanding your preferences enables me to design better to suit the colours and styles of interior you like.
